Is Zahida a Halal Restaurant in Copenhagen?
Yes. All food served at Zahida is halal-certified. This is not something we offer as an option — it is how we operate across the entire menu, for every guest, every day we are open.
What Does Halal Mean at Zahida?
Halal refers to food that meets Islamic dietary requirements. At Zahida, this means all the meat we serve — including our signature Murgh Makhani (butter chicken) and Masala Striploin — comes from halal-certified suppliers. No pork is served at Zahida.
We do serve alcohol — craft beer, wine and cocktails are available for guests who want them. Alcohol is optional and never a requirement of dining with us.
Halal Food That Doesn't Compromise on Quality
Halal certification at Zahida sits alongside our wider commitment to quality ingredients and modern Indo-Pakistani cooking. Our tasting menus are built around bold spices and Nordic presentation — the halal approach is simply part of how we source and prepare everything.
Whether you are visiting for religious reasons or simply want confidence in where your food comes from, you can eat at Zahida without having to ask.
Halal Options for Every Dietary Preference
Our halal-certified menu covers all dietary preferences. We offer:
A classic tasting menu with meat and fish
A fully vegetarian and vegan tasting menu
À la carte dishes including vegetarian, vegan and meat options
Tables can mix menus freely — so a group with different dietary needs can all dine together comfortably.
