First Time at Zahida? Here's What to Expect and What to Order
Visiting a restaurant for the first time always brings a few questions. At Zahida, we want you to arrive relaxed and leave well-fed — so here's a practical guide to your first evening with us.
Start With the Tasting Menu
If it's your first visit, the tasting menu is the best way to experience what Zahida is about. It's a 9-serving, 3-course experience at 450 DKK per person that moves through flavours, textures and techniques in a way that a single dish simply can't.
The whole table orders the same format — either the full tasting menu or à la carte — so it's worth aligning with your group before you arrive. You can add dessert for 45 DKK per person.
What You'll Eat on the Classic Tasting Menu
The classic tasting menu takes you through the following:
Pani Puri — a light, crispy opener with red daal and tamarind water. It's designed to be eaten in one bite.
Mirch Paneer — paneer with chili glaze and szechuan sauce. Bold and warming.
Jackfruit Pakora — pakora made with jackfruit, served with house-spiced yogurt and honey.
Grilled Kerala Prawn — tiger prawns with coconut sauce, inspired by South Indian coastal cooking.
Masala Striploin — grilled beef striploin with vierge sauce. The main event for meat lovers.
Charred Bhutta — corn ribs with tandoori spices. A crowd favourite.
Murgh Makhani — our signature butter chicken. Rich, aromatic and deeply comforting.
Ginger & Garlic Naan — flatbread with garlic-ginger butter, served alongside.
Jeera & Haldi Rice — basmati rice with cumin and turmeric.
What If Someone at the Table Doesn't Eat Meat?
No problem. We offer a dedicated vegetarian and vegan tasting menu that runs in parallel with the classic. Tables can mix freely between menus, so everyone eats well regardless of dietary preference.
What About Drinks?
We offer three drinks pairings to go with the tasting menu:
Wine pairing — 295 DKK per person
Cocktail pairing — 295 DKK per person
Non-alcoholic pairing — 275 DKK per person
You can also order drinks à la carte. We serve craft beer, wine and our own cocktails.
A Few Practical Things to Know
We serve food at a single spice level we call Scandinavian spicy — well-seasoned and warming, but not aggressively hot. We don't adjust spice levels per dish.
We can split the bill into a maximum of 2 payments. If you need more than that, let us know in advance.
Strollers are not permitted inside due to fire regulations, but baby chairs are available — mention this when booking.
The kitchen closes at 21:30, so aim to arrive by then to enjoy the full menu.
